FMP: Official Documents
With our filming dates drawing nearer we have had to pick up the pace and make sure everything is completed to aid us through the filmaking process, which includes risk assessments, contracts binding us (the producer and director) with the crew and contributor, and also location agreements.
I have included the forms we have used, mocked up and created by my producer who is currently on the ball with all our paperwork and working extremely hard to oversee that nothing is missed out or overlooked.
The risk assessment shows that we have taken all the necessary actions and precautions, in the locations that both the crew and contributor will be in and that we are keeping there safety a priority. There are 5 steps to complete which include, identifying the hazard, who/what might come to harm, evaluate the risk/precautions, record and implement findings and & review and update where necessary.
The crew contract is to be signed by the crew and contributor as an agreement for the production of Instability. This covers us in terms of expenses if any participants were to drop out of the filming process, and also covers them as we have agreed to provide such things as refreshments, accommodation, expenses and insurance.
This is the agreement between the production crew and the owner of the location, for us to use their premises in order to record audio/video and stills. It is also protection for the owner in case anything goes wrong, i.e if things go missing or are broken. You need to gain permission if you shoot in anywhere that isn’t either a) the street or b) a property you own yourself.
